Former Challenge Tour graduate Andrea Pavan, finished 2nd at the Final Stage Qualifying School in Spain, to gain his European Tour card for the 2018 season.

Pavan, who won 2nd stage in a tie with Jeff Winther, held his nerve over the gruelling 6 rounds at Lumine Golf Club finishing -19, which was enough to comfortably secure his playing rights. He finished off in style, with a birdie and an eagle to finish in a tie for 2nd with 5 other players.

Speaking on his return to the European Tour, Andrea said, 'I am really excited to finish off a 2 week stretch of great golf and earn my card. Ive worked hard on my game over the past few months, and the results are really starting to show. I cant wait to get out there and play in my first event'.

Andrea will begin his 2018 campaign at the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open in 2 weeks time, followed by the Jo'Burg Open.
